Count Down....

Not everyone knows, but on Friday (2-1-08) I will be getting another birthday...of sorts. I am having the LapBand procedure.

Anyone who knows me, knows my struggle with weight. From about 3rd grade on, I was the wrong weight for my age, height, etc. It has progressively gotten "out of hand." I don't remember when I said, "I can't stand this anymore." Maybe always, but never did anything about it. A diet here, extra excerise there, "I'll do it for the kids, "I'll do it for Chris." But I never really do it for me.

This is for me.

My nerves are getting the best of me. I'm hopeful. But the thought that something bad could happen consumes me at times. But I believe it will be fine, but there's always that chance. But to think I wouldn't see my kids grow up & leaving my family & Chris behind... well, let's change the subject...Wish me luck, won't you.

Think of me on Friday 2-1-2008, my new birthday.

Thanks for reading.

Sooo...

Remember my post in December about my small reunion with my mom's side of the family? (video) And how some of the members of the family couldn't make it. Here are two of those important people.

The lady in the middle is Vicky, she was there. But Brady and Cindy weren't. This is the sisters at Christmas.

Love em, miss em, wish we could be together more often. Wish their kids could play with mine.

Too many miles between.

Rain

It's raining again here. It very relaxing to me, except in traffic. Soothing almost. Cleansing. Jo Dee Messina sings a song "Bring on the Rain," and when it rains outside I always want to hear it. So I thought I'd share.
