.. 1st fill ...

Everyone may know that I had the lapband procedure February 1st. Well if you didn't you do now. (ha ha)

Anyway, Wednesday the 27th I went for what's called my first "fill." It was a bit, well very, uncomfortable. She had difficulty finding the port the saline goes in. My skin was deaden but I could fill the poking and proding she was doing there. And I must reinterate that is was unpleasant. But once she found the port, it was smooth sailing. She pushed the saline in and pulled out that massive needle and I was done. I tried not to cry, but a couple of tears fell. No blubbering, just a silent tear or two. I'm not a baby!

I would give the experience a 4. She said since it was the first time that it could be that way and that since this band was a new improved one (which means that it's smaller) it was a bit more difficult.

But I was glad to have it done and out of the way. You know the thought of it was building for those 4 weeks since the surgery and my anxiety could have tensed me up and caused the problem...who knows.

But next visit I'm going to have someone there to hold my hand.
